Affiliate disclosure

Last updated 2026-08-14

HomeGymCave.com is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.

In plain language

Many of the product links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may receive a small commission from the retailer. You pay exactly the same price. The commission comes out of the retailer's margin, not out of your pocket, and it does not affect your price, your warranty, your return rights or your customer service.

This is how the site is funded. Our calculators, spec charts and rack pages are free, carry no paywall and require no account, and affiliate commissions are what pay for the research, hosting and maintenance.

Which links are affiliate links

Assume that any link to a retailer is an affiliate link. That covers product names, product images, price figures and buy buttons in our gear guides, and any Amazon link inside a calculator page, guide, comparison, chart or rack spec page.

Links that are not affiliate links include links to manufacturer specification pages, standards and code bodies, and other pages on this site. We do not receive anything if you follow those.

How this affects what we recommend

It does not, and the structure of the site is built to make that verifiable rather than just asserted.

Every gear guide presents picks in three tiers, beginner, intermediate and expert, and every one carries an explicit section stating who should not buy the expert tier. The commission on a $119 rack and a $599 rack are very different. If commission drove our recommendations, that section would not exist and we would not keep telling readers in small rooms and on tight budgets to buy the cheap pick.

We also link to products that earn us nothing when they are the right answer. Rogue sells most of its rack and bar stock direct rather than through Amazon, so Rogue gear on this site gets a plain search link and no affiliate product listing. We say so on the page. The alternative would be attaching a Rogue name to somebody else's product, which is exactly the failure mode this policy exists to prevent.

Prices and availability

Prices shown on this site were accurate at the time of writing and change constantly. Amazon pricing in particular can move several times a day. Always confirm the current price on the retailer's own page before buying. We do not control retailer pricing, stock, shipping times or fulfilment, and a product being linked here is not a guarantee that it is currently available.

Product data

Every product we link is verified against the retailer's live listing before it is published: the title, the image and the price all have to match the product we are describing. We never reuse one product listing under a different product's name, and we do not publish a listing we cannot confirm exists.

The same rule governs our rack spec pages. Where we cannot confirm a published specification, we omit the row rather than fill it with something plausible.

What we are not

We do not test equipment in person, and we do not claim to. Our guidance comes from published manufacturer specifications, stated load ratings and verified owner reviews. Nothing here is coaching, medical advice or structural engineering advice. See the disclaimer for the full statement, particularly if you are about to anchor a rack or load a suspended floor.

Questions

If anything here is unclear, or you think a recommendation looks commercially motivated, say so through the contact page. We would rather answer it than have you wonder.
