By accessing HomeGymCave.com, you agree to these terms, to our privacy policy, to our affiliate disclosure and to our safety disclaimer. If you do not agree with any of them, stop using the site. These terms apply to every visitor, whether or not you contact us.
What this site is, and what it is not
HomeGymCave.com publishes researched guidance on home gym equipment, room dimensions and build planning, compiled from published manufacturer specifications, stated load ratings, retailer specification tables and verified owner reviews. We do not test equipment in person and we do not claim to.
It is not any of the following, and nothing here should be read as though it were:
- Structural engineering advice. Anchoring a rack into a slab, lagging a folding rack into a wall, and loading a suspended floor with several hundred pounds of iron are structural questions that depend on your specific building. Only a licensed engineer or qualified contractor inspecting the actual structure can answer them.
- Coaching or programming. Percentage charts and one-rep max estimates are arithmetic from published formulas, not a training plan.
- Medical advice. Consult a physician before beginning any exercise regimen, particularly with an existing injury or medical condition.
- A manufacturer's specification sheet. Manufacturers revise products without renaming them. The documentation shipped with your specific unit governs.
Accuracy, and what to do when a figure is wrong
We compile specifications carefully, we state a range where the real figure genuinely varies between manufacturers, and we omit a number rather than guess at it. Even so, published specs change, tolerances exist, and errors happen. Every dimension, load rating and price on this site should be confirmed against the manufacturer's current documentation and the retailer's current listing before you buy, drill or load anything.
If you find a figure that does not match what a manufacturer currently publishes, tell us through the contact page and we will check it and correct it. We would rather be corrected than be quoted incorrectly.
Affiliate links and how the site is funded
Product links on this site are affiliate links, primarily through the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. You pay the same price either way, and the commission does not change what we recommend or what we say about it. Where a product is genuinely not sold through Amazon, and several well known rack and barbell brands sell direct only, we link to a search rather than fabricate a product page. We are not the seller. Any purchase you make is a contract between you and the retailer, governed by their terms, their returns policy and their warranty. We have no ability to process an order, change a price, ship an item or handle a return.
Acceptable use
You may read the site, use the calculators for personal or professional planning, print a page for your own use, and quote a passage or a chart row with attribution and a link back. That last one is explicitly welcome.
You may not:
- Scrape, crawl or bulk copy the site's content, including its specification tables, for republication, for resale, or to train a commercial model without written permission.
- Republish substantial portions of a page, whether verbatim, translated or lightly reworded, as though it were your own.
- Frame the site, strip the affiliate tags from its links, or present its content without the safety context that surrounds it.
- Attempt to interfere with the site, probe it for vulnerabilities, or use it to distribute malware or spam.
- Use the contact form for unsolicited commercial messages or link insertion requests.
Intellectual property
The text, tables, calculators, layout and design of this site are owned by its operator and protected by copyright. Brand names, product names and trademarks referenced here belong to their respective owners and are used descriptively, for identification only. Nothing on this site implies endorsement by, affiliation with, or sponsorship by any manufacturer named, except where a commercial relationship is explicitly disclosed.
Third party links
We link to manufacturers, retailers and reference sources. We do not control those sites, we are not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability or privacy practices, and a link is not an endorsement of everything on the far side of it. Once you leave this site, the terms and privacy policy of the destination apply instead of ours.
No warranty
The site and everything on it is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy or completeness of content. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error free, or that any specification, calculation or recommendation will be suitable for your situation.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HomeGymCave.com and its operator from any claim, demand, loss or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of your use of the site, your breach of these terms, or your violation of any law or third party right.
Changes, governing law and contact
We may change these terms. The last updated date at the top of this page moves when we do, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised terms. These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the operator is established, without regard to conflict of law rules.
