Why is the slab the best thing about a garage gym?

Why does everything in a garage rust?
Condensation forms when warm humid air meets a surface that is colder than the dew point. Steel holds temperature far longer than air does, so a bar that spent the night at 45 degrees will be wet within minutes of a warm humid morning. How do you keep a garage bay usable for a car?
Measure the parked car first with the doors open, and whatever is left is the gym. Work a normal single bay: 12 ft wide by 22 ft deep. Is insulating a garage worth it?

How much power and heat does a garage gym need?
Most garages are served by one or two 15 or 20 amp 120 volt circuits, often shared with outdoor outlets and the opener. What about lighting, pests, dust and security?
